Niepoort is producing a new white wine in the charming Village of Provezende. The vines are about 20 years old and mostly Codega and Viosinho and also very old vines with predominantly Malvasia fina are included. The result is a fresh white wine, characteristic of the Provezende region, with the wood adding some complexity.

Therefore, in the Morgadio da Calçada LBV 2003, following superior ageing in wood we have created an LBV which is ready to drink now, but which also has the potential to age in bottle.

Morgadio da Calçada wines are the result of a partnership of Casa da Calçada family and Niepoort. For Dirk Niepoort this was a change to finally explore the fantastic vines of Provezende for DOURO and Port wines.
